Kathy’s Philosophy

My philosophy is simple: I love everything about the interior design process, and I want you to love it too. From residential interior design to commercial projects, I enjoy the challenge of developing the perfect look and feel for you.

During my 30 years in this business, the word I hear most frequently from customers is “overwhelmed.” It’s true, that while exciting, interior design projects can feel overwhelming. Any home or commercial project can be stressful, with a vast array of choices, changing trends and a plethora of decisions to make. There are so many places these days to find inspiration, from online sites to magazines, that it can be hard to whittle down your choices. I’ve also heard plenty of horror stories of projects gone wrong.

That’s why I’m here. When you hire me, my goal is to reduce your stress, streamline and simplify the process and make it fun for you. It really is exciting to re-imagine your home or office, and together we can create the ideal interior design for you. I’m conscientious and diligent, ensuring that work gets correctly and on time. I will work within your budget and keep projects on track.

Whether you’re building a new home or business, redecorating your office space, or refreshing the look of an existing room in your house, we’ll work together to find just what you’re looking for. It’s not enough for me to know you’re satisfied; I want you to find joy in the end product and the process as much as I do.

Don’t expect any cookie-cutter designs from me. Every project is unique, and you’ll see your individuality come to life in your new interior design.

No job is too big or too small. From helping you procure and hang an art collection to supervising a major construction or remodeling project or designing a whole house, I offer enthusiastic and reliable personalized service.

I cherish my longtime relationships with my clients, and I appreciate connecting with new customers who have great ideas.

Let’s create something beautiful together.

Kathy and KJL Interior Design have helped me coordinate five homes. I believe Kathy’s interior design of each home has enabled me to trade up for over 20 years. I guess a repeat customer is a happy customer.
